A Father's Gift

Maya always felt like she had to prove herself. At work, at school, even at home—she believed love had to be earned. If she succeeded, people praised her. If she failed, she felt invisible.

One Sunday, a friend invited her to church. The pastor read, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son…” (John 3:16). Maya had heard those words before, but this time they felt different. The pastor explained, “God loved us even when we were broken, even when we couldn’t give Him anything in return” (Romans 5:8).

Tears filled Maya’s eyes. For the first time, she realized her worth wasn’t measured by achievements or mistakes. God loved her simply because she was His creation, His child.

That day, Maya accepted Jesus into her heart. She no longer lived to earn love—she lived because she was already loved.
